Meet Our Dentists
The dentists at Collingwood Dental Centre are dedicated to providing comprehensive dental care to our patients in Collingwood.
Dr. Mark Rogers
General Dentist
Dr. Mark Rogers moved to Collingwood after an 8-year associateship in Southampton, where he practiced dentistry on geriatric patients.
Additionally, he enjoys an active orthodontic component and has professional interests in general restorative, crown and bridge surgery.
He believes it is vital to build strong relationships with patients and parents. His experience volunteering in dental clinics in Honduras has had an influence on his practice. He believes in helping children overcome dental fears by displaying kindness, patience and compassion.
He believes that a positive attitude and a passion to provide patient care is the cornerstone to dental care.
He looks forward to meeting you!
Dr. Mohammed Saigar
General Dentist
I was born in Kenya, East Africa and grew up in Mississauga. I completed my BSc in Microbiology with distinction at the University of Toronto and followed by Doctor of Dental Surgery at McGill University in Montreal.
I have been practicing in Collingwood since 1996, after short stints in Northern Ontario, with a professional interest in surgery. I have a special interest in dental implants as well and have pursued continuing education.
I enjoy spending my downtime expanding my hobby of scuba diving. This summer I successfully become a certified PADI divemaster and now in the process of completing my open water instructor certification with PADI. We also are globe trotters always in search for new and exciting destinations to explore.
My family and I are blessed to live and work in the best and most desirable place in Ontario: Collingwood. I look forward to meet you and make you part of the Collingwood Dental Centre family.
Dr. Robert Reid
General Dentist
In 1993, Dr. Robert Reid left another practice in town and opened Collingwood Dental Centre at 60 Hume Street. Judy Manchester was the hygienist, his mom and his wife Kathy worked at the front desk.
His youngest son Stuart and Judy’s son Malcolm, were often trapped in a gated unequipped operatory in the back as they ran a makeshift daycare some mornings. It was fun and exciting, those early days. Lots have changed since then.
The practice and Collingwood have both grown and so has his family. Three of our four children live in Collingwood and Kathy and Dr. Reid have 6 grandsons so far. Their furthest daughter lives in Barrie. His parents still live in Collingwood.
Dr. Reid has enjoyed many years as a member of the Collingwood Rotary Club.
Over the years the practice has tried to acquire technology to compliment their services. They can make one-visit crowns, they have lasers to help with periodontal treatment and they have scanners that they often use instead of traditional impressions.
Dr. Reid still really likes dentistry, seeing patients and doing those little tiny things that dentists do, but, he is narrowing his scope.
Invisalign is a treatment that can move teeth without having to rely on traditional braces. He is going to spend the majority of his time doing only these types of cases. Dr. Rogers will be seeing most of Dr. Reid's patients for their "regular" dentistry, though if a person wanted to, they could see Dr. Mohammed or Dr. Zain (The Saigar Brothers).
Dr. Reid hopes that you will let Collingwood Dental Centre continue to care for you and your families. He is not going anywhere. He will still be there most days and if there is anything he can do to help, he will strive to do so.
Dr. Reid plans to be semi-retired for many years. Dentistry, and helping patients, has been part of his life for a long time. The profession, and the patients of Collingwood Dental Centre will continue to be a personal cornerstone for many years to come.
Dr. Zain Saigar
General Dentist
Mississauga was home for me, where I spent most of my childhood. After completing my undergraduate degree (BSc.), I continued at the University of Toronto, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2009.
After completing my dental degree I decided to move to Collingwood to practice. My wife Zahra and daughter’s Zareen and Zaahira love being part of this community.
My focus over the years has been mainly focused on providing patients who have fear and or anxiety a support to assist them in having their oral care health needs met. Sedation services from awake to asleep may be able to give some patients comfort in their treatment.
I have also spent a number of years training in the US (New York, California and Florida).
I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, volunteering my time with various charitable organizations, some of which include the Rotary Club of South Georgian Bay, Heath Missions Outreach (providing dental care for those in need), IDRF (International Development and Relief Fund) and Project 417 “Helping the Homeless”.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact our team.
Dr. Cheryl Roberts
General Dentist
My fascination with art and technology led me to complete my degrees. A Bachelor of Science in 1984 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1988.
Since 1988, I have been focused on incorporating art and technology into my daily practice.
The innovations in dental materials and equipment have kept my career inspiring.
The advent of digital dentistry has made it possible to share easily and clearly what I see with my patients. This facilitates my philosophy of a team approach for diagnosis and solutions.
I feel privileged to join the team at Collingwood Dental Centre. I will be focusing on Invisalign clear aligner treatment. Partnering with Doctors Reid, Rogers, M. Saiger, and Z. Saiger, to bring healthy smiles to our patients.
My personal life is filled with as many outdoor activities as my husband and 3 dogs will take part in.
